I would like to think that everyone wants to help…I think it is just in our nature to WANT to help..but, may not know how or where to donate our time or money. The reason I think this way is because that was ME! I know there are bigger things going on today than if I have enough coffee to get me through the day of if my boys will JUST STOP ARGUING ;)… there are orphans around the globe with no one to love them or take care of them. There are orphans with not enough food to eat and who do not have a mama to rock them to sleep at night. These orphans need our help!
My friend, Lindsey DeYoung, owns a successful photography business and I happen to share a studio with her. Her story is truly inspiring and completely amazing! I am in awe of her faithfulness and heart! You see…Lindsey and her husband Matt and big sister, Lola, adopted a baby girl from Ethiopia…her name is Kia. They were able to meet Kia’s birth mama. She did not have the means to keep Kia. How heartbreaking! When Matt and Lindsey returned home…that is when the pull to do something more was undeniable! They are now following the call to honor God and give two years of their comfortable life here in the states and move to Tanzania to give back. Wow! I would love for you to hear their complete story…Lindsey tells it much better than I:) There blog is called Following The Call...I love that name! They will be leaving in August of this year and need our support. If you feel the tug of your heart strings to give back you can do so on their blog under donations. They are working with Grace Ministries International...feel free to peek around…you are sure to feel inspired by their faithful spirit and giving heart!
Won’t you give back?
