Oh, Chris and Dena! They have my heart! This was the last wedding of my 2014 season and boy was it a good one! SO much Love, Laughter and can these people Dance!!!!! SO FUN! I LOVED all of their traditions surrounding their day and heritage! One thing that you will notice is that Dena was walked out of her home for the very last time before marrying Chris. This was a sentimental moment and such an honor to be a part of! Each couple has a story and a history and I just love documenting these memories! So so special!

 

I will share more of the details of the day, but wanted to get this post up:)

I honestly couldn’t narrow this wedding down! I say that often, but this one was so full of life and spontaneous moments and dancing and music and more dancing and more dancing! What a celebration!!!

 

Chris and Dena…Thank you! Thank you for welcoming me into your home, hearts and lives! Your parents and friends and family were all so kind and absolutely wonderful! I know Selena and I want to visit with your mama again soon! We will look for the most special Santa for her;) ( and did you dad get his buck?) lol  Chris…your family was a joy, as well! I hope your mama is on the mend! She didn’t let her knee slow her down at the wedding! What a gems your parents are as well as siblings!!! I can’t say enough about everyone in attendance! The best night with the best people! I know we will stay in touch and I am still waiting for my make-up lesson, Dena 😉 You are such a beauty inside out and I have no doubt you and Chris will have such a blessed and happy marriage!

Hello, Everyone! Can you even believe Thanksgiving is THIS WEEK?!?!? I certainly can’t! Wow! I am hosting this year so I had better get my list in order, eh? ha Who am I kidding? My chef husband will bail me out..but, which apron to choose? So many tough decisions! hahaha

You must.not.miss.this.wedding preview! To say that I LOVED this couple and their wedding and every single adorable detail paired with the quaint and charming venue at Misty Farms is an understatement! I was in Heaven!!!

But, first…a bit about Tom and Kate! I met them at their engagement session and it was incredibly beautiful! They were in town from Iowa(where they reside) and they hit Michigan at the perfect time when the apple blossoms were in full bloom! It was magical!  Fast forward to their wedding day in Ann Arbor. Sure, it was chilly and windy, but that did not phase sweet Kate at all! She put on your beautiful mink and had the best time with her friends and family. And Tom? Well…he couldn’t possibly adore Kate more! He is so romantic and smitten with Kate and it is truly so beautiful! (ps. Tom planned a surprise trip to PARIS and proposed..yup..now you understand, right?!) Together…they are such a wonderful couple and completely giving and sweet! I was truly honored to document their day! I had a hard time narrowing down images for this preview, but here is a small sample of their day!

 

Tom and Kate! I hope Maui was beyond stunning and the time away was wonderful! I am thankful to have met you and I hope you ALWAYS stay in touch! ps. thank you from the bottom of our hearts for gifting Selena and I with the adorable Kate Spade necklaces! I am wearing it as I type this and the thought behind the gift was so touching! You have hearts of gold and I pray your marriage is truly blessed!

Meet Derek and Lyndi! Sweetest Couple! Best Day! The rain didn’t slow us down AT ALL! And you will see from the imagery just how beautiful and romantic the rain can be!

 

I met Derek and Lyndi on the day of their wedding. She was so bubbly and sweet and I just knew this was going to be such a fun day! Lyndi and Derek stayed focused on the wedding and were not phased by moving the ceremony out of the rain and were up for anything I asked of them! Truly the best! When my couples embrace the weather…magic happens. No stress, but rather joy for the meaning of the day and I couldn’t love their images more! The ones on the dock??? I am in LOVE!

Lyndi and Derek..thank you for choosing me to document you day & for trusting me!  I loved getting to know you both and loved all of your fun and beautiful details! Your friends and families were so warm and welcoming and it was an honor to be your photographer! Enjoy your preview!!!!!

Oh, the Smith Family! I love this sweet family! I met Kasie more than a year ago as she needed a photographer for her magazine at West Michigan Woman. I have loved working with her and love even more documenting her family! Her twin boys, Spencer and Jackson are too cute for words and Kasie and her chef husband, Jason(he cooks nightly, folks! & isn’t a chef by trade, but is a serious foodie:)  are seriously perfect for each other! They all love and laugh easily! I have photographed this fun-loving family before and the boys were super excited to see me..which I LOVE! We sang songs in an alley in Grand Rapids and I allowed each of the boys to try their hand at photography! They are honestly pretty darn good!:) What a fun session as you will see from the imagery I captured for them!

Kasie and Jason…thank you for trusting me with your memories! I always walk away from your shoots smiling and seriously love these memories captured! And a Happy Birthday Shout out to Kasie today! I originally had her on the schedule to be blogged tomorrow, but hey! A girl needs to feel special on her birthday, am I right?:)

Meet the Sweet McNinch Family! You are going to see right away from these images how much fun this family has together! Easily laugh, playful and loving are the best words to describe them! I had the very best time photographing them at their home on the lake. I twisted their arm into allowing me to photograph them on their sailboat! I LOVE what I captured for them!

Deanna and Jamie…thank you for welcoming me into your home and hearts. I truly loved documenting your sweet family and I hope you plaster these images all over your home! You were overdue for family photos and I couldn’t love them more! ps. Get Gabe into Modeling STAT and little miss Mia is a doll(even though she doesn’t love her photo taken..she is adorable!!!!)
