Meet the Black Family! Sean, Missy, Dugan and Calvin Dash are such an adorable family and the stars aligned for their Amazing family session! Seriously…could they be any more stylish and fun? I honestly go way back with these two sweethearts…like HS way back! Sean was the best man in our wedding and Missy and I formed a friendship later in life and I love it when we are able to catch up! Missy sent me her outfit choices long before the shoot and I knew instantly we should incorporate blueberries or raspberries(we opted for both because why not?) and shoot in a field. Missy requested some golden light! ha Well..she received her wish as we can never predict when that beautiful light makes an appearance in Michigan! But, oh how sweet it is! Oh how I love my clients. Chris and Dena are such loves! I had such a great time with them during their engagement session in Grand Rapids. I love their style and of course…Dena is rocking the bold red lip! She is also a make-up artist so of course I want her to show me how to apply my own make-up! Doesn’t she look amazing? They are also the nicest, most loving and fun couple you ever did meet!I can’t wait for their November wedding this year!!!!!

Meet the Sweet Brown Family! Angela and I met many years ago as she works for Serendipity Media …I love shooting the covers for West Michigan Woman Magazine and she is a part of the Serendipity Team! I love those ladies, btw
I recently offered a giveaway for a lifestyle session and Angela Won! YAY! Here’s the catch…they just sold their home and moved to Pentwater! They are still deciding if they want to build or buy …So..we improvised and met up in their new cute town and documented their sweet little family! I love the colors in this session and their interactions with their little boy, Coy! Both Angela and her husband, Jay are seriously THE NICEST couple you could ever meet! I loved chatting with them and walking around Pentwater as they shared a bit of their story and life

Oh my! Meet Breezy Town if you have not already. She is pretty well known in the Greenville Community for kicking Cancer’s Booty! She is full of life, spunk and sass!
I met Bree many years ago as her mama was a client of mine and now she is one of my best friends. Yes. This has happened MANy times and you might see a theme if you read my blog. Apparently I become friends with my clients and I honestly couldn’t be happier or blessed!!!!
Jenny (Bree’s mama) has a heart of GOLD and has stood strong in her faith in God throughout so many trials in her life. She is an inspiration to me and I know to so many others. When faced with every parent’s nightmare of a leukemia diagnosis she walked the path with courage, grace, honesty and when I thought if I were her I would surely lay down and have the BIGGEST pity party…she actually would do the very opposite and throw some over the top party in Bree’s room at Helen Devos and celebrated LIFE ! I know that God carried her through, but I also know she said YES to God and trusted Him when the storms were crashing all around.I am in awe of how much the Town family has been through and how thankful they are for today.
Throughout Bree’s treatment our family has prayed for her and her family every night and then some. It has also taught our family to not take the little things for granted. I know we all have learned from the Town family and from Bree. To see people we love go through something like this and still be incredibly joyful and full of gratitude is truly amazing and something we hold dear to our hearts. We know that God does not promise a perfect life, that our time here is not permanent, but some times you think: These people are good. Why? Although I will never know here on Earth: Why! …I trust God is with us. That He is always working for our greater good even when we do not understand.
