Hi guys! Just me here. I just had something placed upon my heart today and felt the need to share. I hope everyone knows how much I feel like one of my main purposes is to encourage others (especially women) and in no way am I trying to push anything on anyone. This is just who I am and God is truly part of me. I hope this encourages someone else in a way that you all know I struggle with these things and you are not alone in anything. I truly believe we are to help each other in all that we do.

Meet Nate and May. They are truly the sweetest couple. They contacted me only weeks prior to their winter wedding and I was so honored to be a part of their day!  It was filled with love  and low key celebration as May’s mom passed recently. Although I never had the privelage of meeting her…I am certain her presence was felt throughout the entire day. May and Nate had The.Most.Perfect weather for February! It wasn’t too awfully cold..beautiful blanket of snow and the most gorgeous light you ever did see!
I also loved how May and Nate started their wedding day…reading a passage that have read many times together. It was very heartfelt and memorable! You will also see an image of a variety of make-up. This was May’s mom’s make-up and it was very special to May to have to documented! I loved all of the little touches throughout the day to remember her mother.
One other unique twist to all of this is that Nate and May have been on the news and their engagement story shared countless times. Nate proposed to May in a canoe and the wind came and swept them out into Lake MI…the coastguard rescued them and the rest is history! So…it was fitting to have the local news show up at thier wedding and interview them! How fun is that?! So happy they are safe and they certainly have a unique story to tell their children and children’s children
Nate and May…I LOVED getting to know you both and spending this most special day with you and your families! Everyone was so amazingly sweet and warm and welcoming! I can also add…you had more desserts at your wedding than any other I have been too and IN a Canoe at that 😉 I Loved it! haha

Sooo many of you have inquired regarding fotomamas! Kerri and I have decided to host one class March 18th (a Monday) at our studio : 401 Hall St. Â SW Â Suite #409 Grand Rapids, MI 49507
We are excited to meet all of you and teach you how to use your cameras to get better images . We will be sending out a questionaire once you sign up to reserve your seat as we like to custom tailor this to the attendees. Everyone might be at a different level with camera knowledge so this is super helpful in making the most out of the class for everyone!

Meet Amy and Greg! Â They are seriously such a sweet couple! I know God has a hand all of the details of my life and I sure do get to photograph such amazing couples! I truly am so blessed!
Amy and Greg met me on a snowy morning at the very place that Greg proposed! I always tell my couples to think of a location that is either meaningful to them or something they like to do togetherThat way…when you look back at your photos 20 years from now…they will Mean something to you:) Obviously..it’s also important to see the connection between eachother and you can not miss the connection in these photosThe session couldn’t have been sweeter! Greg and Amy are laid back, kind and genuine. They laugh easily together and you can feel the love between them:) Â I adore shooting at rustic locations! Their session was a perfect combination of meaningful, simple, yet various little spots to photograph…I LOVE this session! Can you tell?? ha
Greg and Amy…thank you for braving the cold, wind and snow with me:) We were truly blessed with a perfectly gorgeous morning that ended in the slightest bit of snowfall for a truly beautiful session! Enjoy your images and I can’t wait for your wedding in September
